Beginning Obedience Classes for Puppies and Adults:
6 weeks - $200

Classes meet at the Pacific Palisades Recreation Center (The Park) and at Palisades Lutheran Church. We have classes on Saturdays, weeknights, and weekdays to accommodate most every student's schedule. Level 1 beginning classes have a total of 7 weekly meetings - the first meeting without dogs (but a very important meeting it is!) Classes run about an hour and have between 8 to 12 dogs per class. Classes are taught by Julie Sterling, with two assistants. The dogs get a good foundation in obedience, using clicker training as the basic method. Your dog will learn 20 or more behaviors in this class. The class is loads of fun and all family members, including children, are encouraged to attend. Puppies may start as early as 10 weeks of age, with approval of the instructor. Most dogs attending this class are puppies under 1 year of age, but adult dogs are also welcome. Classes include a Clicker Training manual, clickers, and written information. Please call for next available start dates.

Agility Classes:
6 weeks - $200

There are three levels of agility training: Beginning (dog has never done it before); Intermediate (dog has completed a beginning class); and Advanced (you go on to this level with instructor approval, and remain as long as you like!). The classes meet on Friday mornings at the Pacific Palisades Recreation Center. New classes begin every six weeks. This is an incredibly fun dog sport, often featured on Animal Planet. Not only will your dog learn to negotiate challenging obstacles, but you and your dog truly become a team in this sport. The added benefit is a dog who really listens to you not only in agility, but in other situations as well!

Special Breed Obedience - Fun Classes
Level One - 6 weeks - $200
Level Two - 6 weeks - $200

These classes group 6 to 12 dogs of a single breed together for an exclusive training class. In the past we've had"Goldens Rule!" Level 1 (just Golden Retrievers); "Lab Science," Level 1 (just Labs); This year we are doing "Raising Your Standards," Level 2 (just Standard Poodles). Level 1 and 2 classes are in the works for, "Awesome Aussies," (Australian Shepherds) and "Get a Long, Little Doggie," (just Dachshunds). Check back to see if your breed is featured, or make a request and help form a core group (minimum 6 dogs required for a specialty class.) Traditionally, these classes meet at Palisades Lutheran Church on Saturdays.

Private Training:
6 week course - $800
3 week course - $400
1 individual private lesson - $150

Private, individual instruction takes place at your home if you prefer, or as an adjunct to the group classes (many people do both.) Private training is based on a 7 week course, materials provided, and worked around your schedule. Housebreaking, house manners and management as well as basic obedience are all covered.
